Every kids needs a friend, someone to play with, it can be human being,toys,animals or even an imaginary friend when I was a little boy i never had any close friend,the only friend I have was my imaginary friend who is not physical always wanted a real friend and the whole adventure happened when I was 15yrs old my parents bought me a Dog as a birthday present and that was my happiest moment on earth,I named my new Dog Meloney and since then she has always been my closest friend and she saved my life in two different occasion Three years later when I was 18years old and melony was 3yrs old and it was on Monday afternoon when every were was silent and the weather was cool and I was reading a novel in the court-yard when two armed men jumped through the gate into the compound and when I saw them I tried to escape but they were fast at me and I was caught and they beat me seriously until I could not stand up from the ground and I was seriously bleeding.
They asked me to show them were my parents are keeping all their money at home or else they will kill me and if i continue saying that I don't now were the money is they will continue beating me and while all this was going on Melony was busy sleeping on the cough in the sitting room but my screaming woke her up and she immediately run towards were my screaming was coming from and when she found out that i was been beating she jumped on one of the armed men and as he was struggling with her i quickly got up and attacked the other man who was holding a long knife that looks like sword and we both fought until they manage to escaped,Melony made lot of damage on the guy she trapped on,he was wounded all over his body,that was how she saved me during the first incident. The second incident happened when Melony and i went fishing in a river close to our house and we sat by the river shore and i cast my hook into the river were i caught lot of fish until it got to a stage when i cast the hook into the water and i had a very strong pull at my hook and i started pulling my hook and behold i saw a very large tail of fish flap out from the water and a great tension beheld me and i fell into the water and the problem was that i cant swim and the water was so deep right from the shore,Meloney started barking and when she saw that i was drawling she quickly run too call for help,right they i though that i was going to die,after some seconds of struggle i saw Meloney and me big brother running to the river, by then i was just about to sink into the river because i have taking in lots of water, they brought me out and pumped my chest until i regain conciousness, the first thing i did as i got up was to give meloney a great kiss and hugging I don't know how she manage to make my brother followed her,so i decided to asked him and he said that meloney came home and started barking at him and she held him on his T-shirt and drag him and he realised that she is trying to take him some were so she followed her until they found me. since then i have always seen meloney as a God sent friend and i just cant stop taking God for bringing her into my life. please feel free to post your comment about your own dog or friend may God bless you and i will be telling you more about meloney from time to time.
